Querencia Clipboard

Music has been a big part of my life. It has been a way for me to connect with myself and the world. That is why music is my querencia. Music has influenced me in multiple ways. It has helped me realize what is happening in the world, all the good and bad, and how I actually a great life. It has even helped me concentrate and stay focused on my work. Music has helped me control my emotions. Playing music is a huge way I can vent my anger or deal with my problems. Many times listening to music will either make me feel a certain way, remind me of someone, or even allow me to remember certain memories in my life. Also, when I work, out I’ll listen to fast music; techno, dance, trance etc., so it can pump me up and get me moving to the beat of the music.

Though listening to music has made a big impact on me, playing music is also very important to me. The feeling of my fingers against metal makes me feel powerful. The guitar is an instrument I have loved for a very long time, even before I knew how to play it. Over the years, playing the guitar has made me improve my pitch, so when my guitar is out of tune or when I hit a sour note, I can easily detect it and fix it. It started as a hobby, and grew into something that would change my life forever. When I’d feel happy, sad, anger or even confused, I would write something that would show I felt that way. But it wasn’t always on the guitar. Sometimes it would be on the piano or even writing lyrics. Though playing the guitar might be fun, it can sometimes cause pain. Sometimes my fingers would bleed from playing so long at once, or my string will pop and slap me right on the hand, but nothing will stop me from playing. Music is my comfort zone, my everything, that is why I hope for it to always be in my life and help me move forward.
